Write for us
We welcome thoughtful pitches about the details that shape how a film is watched: a recurring object, an unseen sound, a transition, a gesture or another precise viewing question. A useful contribution gives readers a way to notice something without insisting that one interpretation settles it.
What makes a good pitch
Propose one focused subject and explain the central question, the detail readers will attend to, and what a close look might add. We favour specific, evergreen ideas that can be explained clearly without relying on private access, unsupported claims or costly resources.
A clear, careful approach
Strong drafts separate what a viewer can observe from what the writer infers, give enough context to follow the example, and acknowledge reasonable ambiguity. Original writing is expected; pitches should also note any relevant commercial relationship or material supplied by another party.
How to send it
Send proposals through the Contact page and choose the editorial question option. A short pitch is enough to begin; please include a working title, a summary of the idea and a brief note about your approach.
